Using online translation tools in computer-assisted collaborative EFL writing

چکیده
This study applies multimodal conversation analysis to examine how pupils of L2 English in Sweden make use online translation tools (OTTs), i.e. bilingual dictionaries and Google Translate, a range digital collaborative writing tasks. The collection sequences where OTTs comes from 31 hours video-recorded data four Swedish upper-secondary schools. In contrast previous research on OTTs, this micro-analytic examines the process using links it written product, by analysing actions screen accompanied embodied pupil interaction. Thus analyses track: (1) when deploy (2) whether help them resolve lexical gaps other issues (3) what problems arise process. also discusses can be offered overcome encountered difficulties OTTs.
